About the Role

As a Cable Jointer, you’ll work as part of a skilled team to construct, maintain, and repair the underground transmission and distribution electricity network, ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable power delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair underground network faults quickly and safely.
Carry out construction and maintenance work to high standards and quality expectations.
Participate in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards, and controls before starting work.
Operate safely in outdoor and underground environments, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Maintain positive customer relations when interacting with the public.
Keep skills current in line with evolving energy industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Cable Jointing (or equivalent)
Valid ‘C’ Class Driver’s License (or equivalent, with willingness to obtain Australian license).
Demonstrated experience in underground transmission and/or distribution network construction and maintenance.
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
