About the Role
As a Cable Jointer, you’ll work as part of a skilled team to construct, maintain, and repair the underground transmission and distribution electricity network, ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable power delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair underground network faults quickly and safely.
- Carry out construction and maintenance work to high standards and quality expectations.
- Participate in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards, and controls before starting work.
- Operate safely in outdoor and underground environments, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
- Maintain positive customer relations when interacting with the public.
- Keep skills current in line with evolving energy industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Cable Jointing (or equivalent)
- Valid ‘C’ Class Driver’s License (or equivalent, with willingness to obtain Australian license).
- Demonstrated experience in underground transmission and/or distribution network construction and maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
