Sr. Recruiter – Blue Collar / Shipbuilding (Aluminum)

We are currently seeking an experienced Blue-Collar Recruiter to support an RPO project for a leading industrial client. This role is responsible for recruiting blue-collar positions in the Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City regions, with a strong focus on aluminum shipbuilding and heavy fabrication roles. This is a contract-based position (3 to 6 months) with a strong opportunity to become permanent, based on performance and business needs.
Project Location: Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for blue-collar roles, from sourcing through offer coordination
- Recruit primarily aluminum welders, fabricators, and pipefitters, with exposure to shipyard and marine environments
- Partner closely with hiring managers, supervisors, and site leaders to understand workforce needs, production timelines, and skill requirements
- Design and execute hands-on sourcing strategies tailored to skilled trades, including direct sourcing, referrals, trade networks, and local market outreach
- Screen and assess candidates for technical skills, certifications, safety awareness, and work-site readiness
- Maintain accurate candidate pipelines and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Support coordination of onboarding, start dates, and compliance requirements in collaboration with the wider RPO team
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in full-cycle blue-collar recruitment
- Proven experience recruiting welders and fabricators (aluminum experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in recruiting pipefitters or similar skilled trades is a strong asset
- Background in shipbuilding, marine, heavy industry, manufacturing, or fabrication environments preferred
- Strong sourcing skills for trade and hourly roles, including proactive outreach and non-traditional channels
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
